Towards the end of August 2019, I went on a solo backpacking trip to The Valley of Flowers in Uttarakhand. This blog series is an account of my experience as well as a showcase for my photography.
Itinerary:
- Day 0: Mumbai → Delhi by Flight
- Day 1: Delhi → Rishikesh
- Day 2: Explore Rishikesh
- Day 3: Rishikesh → Govind Ghat
- Day 4: Govind Ghat → Ghangharia (Govind Dham)
- Day 5: Valley of Flowers Trek
- Day 6: Ghangharia → Govind Ghat
- Day 7: Govind Ghat → Rishikesh
- Day 8: Rishikesh → Delhi → Mumbai
The Valley of Flowers is a place I that had been on my bucket list forever. Rather than finding a trekking group with a neatly organized package, I merely read up about the place, packed my bags, booked the flights, and left.
It was the best decision I could have possibly made.
The rest of this series is an expansion of notes I took, and journalling I did during the trip, accompanied with photographs of the breathtaking views along the way.
